Ahh what a show

So I played a small "coffeehouse" show tonight at Riverwood Bible Church in Jackson tonight, and it was basically amazing. It was a laid back atmosphere, filled with lots of great music, art, poetry, and a lot of friendly and familiar faces. I hope we get to do this sort of thing again very soon.

A great bonus (for me) was getting to play along side a guy and fellow guitar player in my youth group. We started the night singing Third Day's "I've always loved you" which I think was a fitting way to start the night. Then a few acts later we came back and played "On Jordan's Stormy Banks I Stand" which, I will admit, I stopped halfway through the song because I forgot the third verse, thankfully we are under grace, and we were able to get right back into it without a whole lot of awkwardness.

The last song of the night the youth group played a song collectively, and I jumped it in the last second and played some electric guitar behind everybody else. I think that was my favorite part of the night. As much as I love singing, it is always just as much fun for me to stay in the background and jam with an electric guitar in hand. You can never go wrong with that.

Thats all for now. I must get some sleep.

PS - a very special thank you goes out to Katey Barlow, Brett, Cade, and their mom and dad for letting me come over and hang out. I'm sorry if we got loud, and I hope your finger gets better.
